A&M

Well it sure is nice to be playing college teams again after the NFL-caliber Bama squad smacked us around 38-7.

Then again, Texas A&M is no. 16 in the nation and has been faring just fine in the SEC. Their only two losses have come against SEC powerhouses LSU and Florida by a combined eight points (they get Bama next week). So don't expect an easy W, Dawgs fans.

But it is hard to not get distracted by the fact that Texas A&M is basically a wannabe Mississippi State. They're a purple shade away from being true maroon. They're no. 16 to our no. 15. Plus, the A&M Aggies is our old name and mascot (that's so pre-60's). The only thing they lack is cowbells (GET YOURS TODAY!)

One difference, though, is that this A&M is averaging around 45 points a contest, good for third nationally. While Mississippi State gives up a stingy 17 points. Something's gotta give and we're not talking about our favorite Diane Keaton film.

A Saturday home nooner (ET) on ESPN hopes to put the Bulldogs back on track.
