As it turns out, Northwestern State is a real school. And they got beat, real bad.
MSU (2-1) scored touchdowns by three different quarterbacks in a 62-13 romp. Dak Prescott of course led the way with an almost perfect day of 227 yards, connecting on 10-of-11 passes.
Freshmen QB's Nick Fitzgerald and Elijah Staley also threw TD's and sophomore WR Donald Gray had a career day with 140 yards and a perfect TD by Fitzgerald. He took in four receptions, including back-bending marvel of a catch from Prescott, putting Dak in the MSU record book for most passing yards.
All in all, it was an offensive outburst that fans had been longing for, with a school record 647 yards.
Next week, the Dawgs aim to correct their SEC record in a game at Auburn.
